Warren Seebade was born in N.Y. in 1923 and joined in the Army in New York City, N.Y. in 1942. At the time of his enlistment he was single, had completed one year of college and was working as a pattern and model maker. Seebade joined the 10th Mountain Division at Camp Hale, Colo. and was assigned to Company K of the 87th Infantry Regiment. He also served at Fort Ord, Calif.; Kiska, Alaska; Camp Carson, Colo.; and at Camp Swift, Tex. before being sent to Italy. Seebade attained the rank of Staff Sergeant before being killed in action at Mt. Croce in April 1945. He was posthumously awarded the Silver Star medal.
