Scobey, David Cochran, 1814-1850
David Cochran Scobey (1814-1850), the son of William ( - ) and Jane Dickey Scobey (1791-1877), was born in Francestown, N.H., on 10 September 1814. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1839, attended Andover Theological Seminary during the 1841-1842 term, and taught languages in the Lowell, Mass., high school from 1842 until his death in 1850.
