McMurry, George H.
Son of Christian missionaries in India; later a student in the Creative Writing Center at Stanford, particularly working with Wallace Stegner. Wrote THE CALL TO MURALLA, a novel about a missionary child in India, and later researched the Mary Hallock Foote papers at Stanford for a dissertation under Stegner.
