Eastman, Linda Anne, 1867-1963
Variant namesThe first woman to head a metropolitan library system in the U.S., Eastman, as librarian of the Cleveland Public Library (1918-1938), was responsible for innovations in library service. She taught library science at Western Reserve University and was active in the American Library Association.
