Rhode Island State Mothers Association.
The Rhode Island State Mothers Association, affiliated with the American Mothers Committee, began in 1947. The association's purpose was to secure nominations for, and select, the state mother each year. Members included state mothers, merit mothers, and other interested women who were invited to join.
