Bianco, Pamela, 1906-1994
Variant namesPamela Bianco was born in London, England in 1906. She came to the United States in 1921 and became a naturalized citizen in 1930. She was educated at home in France, England and Italy. She was an artist and writer for children from 1917 onward. There have been numerous exhibitions of her work and her work is in several collections. She received a Guggenhein fellowship for creative painting in 1930. Natives of Rock is listed among the fifty best books of the year by the American Institute of Graphic Arts in 1956.
