The International Student Office was established to provide international students enrolled at Teachers College with advisory services specific to the needs of students from foreign countries. Earlier in the college's history, these services were provided by the Director of Welfare, the Advisor to Students from Other Lands, and the Special Advisor to Foreign Students. In 1987, the International Student Office was incorporated within the Office of Student Life.
