Poe, Thomas Bueford

Thomas Bueford Poe was born in Kentucky in April 1839. He moved to Morgan County, Indiana where he worked as a farm laborer. Poe mustered into the army on 11 August 1862 at Mooresville, Indiana. He enlisted as a private in the Indiana 12th Infantry. He mustered out of the army on 21 June 1865. Poe and his wife Nancy had six children, five of whom survived childhood. He held a variety of jobs after the war and contintued to live in Morgan County.
