Avery, Roy C. (Roy Crowdy), 1885-1971
Variant namesRoy Crowdy Avery was born in Canada in 1885. He became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1917 and immediately joined the U.S. Army for service during World War I. He later became a professor of bacteriology and immunology at Vanderbilt University.
