Trapper and merchant in Grayson and Cooke Counties of Texas. Born 1804 in Arkansas. Came to Gainesville, Texas, in 1850. Owned the first general store in Gainesvile. Grandfather of Lubbock, Texas, pioneer George R. Bean.
