Fried, Frederick G., b. 1840.
Fried was born in Wurtemburg, emigrated to the United States in 1854, and moved to Kendalville, Noble County, Ind., in 1855 to join his brother. During the Civil War, he enlisted in the 74th Indiana Volunteers in 1862, and served until the end of the war. He returned to Kendalville after the war.
