Eugene Lowry Eubank (b. Dec. 2, 1892, Mangum, Oklahoma-d. April 9, 1997), U.S. Air Force officer, became a flying cadet in the Signal Corps and received his commission in 1918. He served as pilot and observer in Hawaii in 1922 and became a test pilot and chief, Flight Test Unit, in the late 1920s. During the Second World War, he served as director of bombardment at Air Force Headquarters; commanding general, 2nd Bomber Command; Director of Tactical Development; deputy commander for operations, 8th Air Force; and commander, 3rd Division of the 8th Air Force. After the War, General Eubank assumed command of the 13th Air Force in the Philippines. Later he was appointed chief, Air Force Manpower Group at Air Force Headquarters, and deputy inspector general of the Air Force. He retired in December 1954.
