Wilson Bryant Burtt (b. Jan. 1, 1875, Hinsdale, Illinois-d. March 21, 1957), Brigadier General in the U.S. Army, graduated from West Point in 1899. He served in Cuba and the Philippines, was an observer of German armies in the field, and also served in Mexico. During World War I, he served with the American Expeditionary Force as assistant chief Air Service and chief of staff, 5th Army Corps, participating in major offensives in 1917 and 1918. He received the Distinguished Service Medal and other awards from the Allies. He was appointed an instructor at the General Staff College following the war.
