Served on the staffs of Bellevue Hospital and Brooklyn City Hospitals, N.Y., 1860-1861; Confederate surgeon with Fitzhugh Lee's cavalry; afterwards a physician in Portsmouth, Va., and a member of the Virginia Board of Medical Examiners and the State Board of Health.
