Hide Profile

Elisha Hall (1799-1879) was born in North Carolina. He married Anne Anderson Guilliford (1802-1981) of Tennessee in 1822. It is unknown when the family moved to Austin but there are records of Elisha renting a lot in the City of Austin in 1838 and paying taxes for property in the city in the late 1850s. The couple had eight children: Susan Anne, James Guilliford, Andrew Dickinson, Lucinda, Marion Proctor, Mary Eatherly, Allen Franklin, and Elizabeth Priscilla. Both Elisha and Anne are buried in the Oakwood Cemetery in Austin.

Marion Proctor (M. P.) Hall (1831-1912) was born in Tennessee. He is alternately listed as a carpenter and a florist (and sometimes both) in the 1872 through 1905 Austin City Directories. He married Amanda Roberta Hurling Fowler (1843-1919) of Webberville, Texas in 1865. The couple had four children: Edgar Renfro, Walter Morris, Etta, and Maud Ethel.
