Hutchinson, Leroy
Leroy Hutchinson left his home in Hartford, Connecticut, to take a position at the Eastern Hotel in New York City. His parents lived in Hartford, where his mother, Lydia B. Hatch took in boarders. His father worked in a dye house, and then in a munitions factory, where he drilled pistol barrels. In 1865, Leroy moved to the Syracuse area.
