Findley, William T. (William Thornton), 1814-1893
Variant namesWilliam Thornton Findley, the son of a minister, was born in West Middletown, Washington County, Pennsylvania. He moved with his parents to Ohio in 1824 and graduated from Franklin College, Ohio, in 1839. Later that year he became licensed to preach in the Associate Reformed Church. He held pastorates in Chillicothe, Springfield, and Xenia, Ohio and Newark, New Jersey. He published several sermons.
