Taylor, Benjamin Franklin (Frank), ca. 1844-1865.
Frank Taylor, the son of Robert Donaldson Taylor and Jane Scott Hughes Taylor, was mustered into Company E, 84th Illinois Infantry on September 1, 1862. Mustered out June 8, 1865, Taylor died as a result of an accident or murder on the way home. Ann Taylor was his sister. His uncle, Adam Taylor, suffered as a Unionist in Texas before finally joining the 1st Texas Cavalry (USA).
