Cobbold, Elizabeth, 1767-1824
Variant namesPoet and novelist Elizabeth Cobbold was born Elizabeth Knipe, daughter of a Lancashire merchant. She married William Clarke of Ipswich in 1790, was widowed and remarried John Cobbold of the Cliff Brewery, Ipswich in 1792.
