Albert and Harriet Simons, along with their children, extended family and friends, spent summer months coming and going to Seabrook Island where conditions were favorable to the general health and wellbeing of Harriet Simons, who suffered from severe allergies made worse by allergens in Charleston. Compiled at a time before Seabrook Island was developed for residential living, this log provides a glimpse into the rural character and natural beauty of one of South Carolina's sea islands in the first part of the twentieth century.
