Acting quartermaster, 80th U.S. Colored Volunteer Infantry Regiment, Bonnet Carre (also known as La Place), La., between 1864-1865. The regiment served in Louisiana and Texas, Dept. of the Gulf, and was mustered in April 4, 1864 at Port Hudson, La.; and out in Texas in 1867. Bridges, of Castine, Me., also served with 2nd Maine Regiment and the Maine Militia.
