Pioneer Lawmakers' Association of Iowa
Variant namesThe Pioneer Lawmakers' Association of Iowa was organized in 1886 with membership open to "all former state officers ... who served twenty-five years prior to each biennial reunion" as specified in the group's articles of association which were adopted at the 3rd reunion held in 1892. These articles specify that the reunions were to be held at the capital beginning on the second Wednesday of February in the years when the General Assembly met for its regular sessions.
