Keck (1903-1995) was a taxonomic botanist who was employed by the Carnegie Institute at Stanford University from 1925-1950; the New York Botanical Garden as Head Curator and Assistant Director from 1950-1958 and the National Science Foundation from 1958-1970 where he was Program Director for Systematic Botany.
