Marks, Callison, 1905-1969
Callison Marks was born in Spokane in 1905. After he served in WWII, he returned to Spokane to become the chief editorial writer for the Spokesman-Review. He was actively interested in water resource issues in the Pacific Northwest and Canada. Mr. Marks was appointed to serve on the Western States Water Council in 1965. He was a Council Member from Jun. 1965 to Aug. 1969.

Callison Marks was a native of Spokane. He held a civil service job while attending George Washington University in Washington, D.C. Following his graduation, Marks worked as promotion manager with the Baltimore Sun prior to serving in the Naval Reserve. He returned to Spokane after World War II, where he became chief editorial writer for the Spokesman-Review, a position he held for many years. Marks was actively interested in water resource issues in the Pacific northwest and Canada, and was appointed to serve on the Western States Water Council in 1963.
