Hale, Isabelle McCrae.
Native of Colorado; reared in Nebraska. Received nursing degree in San Diego, California. Learned to fly in 1936 and eventually became a WASP, graduating with class 44-W-3 at Avenger Field in Texas. Was assigned to Dodge City Army Air Base and learned to fly the B-26. Later assigned to Stockton Army Air Base in California, Orlando, Florida, Kingman Army Air Base in Arizona, and Marana Army Air Field in California, and Love Field in Dallas, Texas. Married, with one son. WASP president from 1980 to 1982.
