Robert Mather was attorney and holder of other offices for the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad for more than 23 years. He was chairman of the board of directors for Westinghouse Electric Company and served on the boards of 14 banks and railroads when he died in New York City on October 24, 1911.
