Davis, Jonathan O. (Jonathan Ogden)
Nevada geoarchaeologist and research professor of geology at the Desert Research Institute, Reno, Nev.; Davis' area of expertise was Quaternary tephrachronology. Davis was born on April 15, 1948 and died Dec. 14, 1990. His father, E. Mott Davis was head of the radiocarbin dating laboratory at the University of Texas, Austin; his mother was Beth Ogden Davis.
