Patrick Gordon Taylor was an air pilot and navigator on long-range solo flights and surveys of the Indian Ocean and Pacific routes. He flew as a captain with Australian National Airlines, 1930-1931, and with Kingsford-Smith in the "Southern Cross" as second pilot and navigator, 1933-1935. He was the navigator aboard Charles Ulm's "Faith in Australia", 1933. Taylor published books dealing with his experiences.
