The Twin Cities International Program (TCIP) was established in the 1960s to offer annual four-month training and exchange programs for professional youth and social workers from foreign countries. The training programs included both coursework at the University of Minnesota and practical experience at local social agencies. Under increasing budget constraints, TCIP was discontinued in the 1990s.
