Newell, Jackson L.
Jackson Newell received his Ph. D. from Ohio State University in 1972. He held concurrent appointments in the Graduate School of Education and central administration at the University of Utah for more than fifteen years, serving as Professor of Educational Administration from 1974-1998, Dean of Student Affairs from 1974 to 1978 and Director and Dean of Liberal Education from 1974 to 1990. He retired from the University after 24 years of service on December 31, 1998.
