McGarvie, John, 1795-1853
Variant namesMcGarvie migrated to Australia in 1826 and was the first Presbyterian minister of Ebernezer Church at Portland Head. Lectured at the Australian College and contributed to the Sydney Herald. Was Minister of St. Andrew's Scots Church, Sydney, from 1835 to 1853.
