Blair, Martha R. Feild, ca.1867-1962.
Martha Redd (or Ruffin) Feild was the daughter of Jane Bland Ruffin and John Shaw Feild of Mecklenburg County, Virginia. On October 27, 1898, she became the second wife of Lewis Harvie Blair (lived 1836-1916). Martha had been Mr. Blair's secretary at the Putney Shoe Company in Richmond, Virginia. They had four daughters, including Louise Heron Blair who married the artist Pierre Daura, and Jean Feild Blair who married the French artist Jean Helion. Martha Blair died April 26, 1962 at the age of 95.
