Percy Walter Price came to North Carolina State College as an instructor in the Textiles School, but his interest in music led him to volunteer his services to help develop the college band, the glee club, and an orchestra which was considered one of the best in the South. He was also a member of the North Carolina Sudan Shrine Temple.
