The Liberty Hall Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution was organized in Charlotte on March 13, 1909 with 31 members. The thirteenth chapter in the state, the chapter is named for Liberty Hall Academy, the successor to the first Queens College, which was chartered in Charlotte in 1771.
