The faculty and administration of the university held regular meetings to discuss academic issues, make committee assignments, recommend candidates for graduation, hear reports, submit resolutions, and hear student petitions. In March 1907, without a note of the change, the minutes call it a meeting of the Academic Council, and it continues under this title through 1913. The meetings were attended by the university president, vice-president, all professors and associate professors, the registrar and the librarian.
