Bishop Wilson (1860-1941) was born in London. He earned his BA (1883) and MA (1886) degrees at Jesus College, Cambridge. He was ordained deacon in 1886 and priest in 1887. He was curate of Portsea, Portsmouth from 1886-1891 and vicar of Moordown, Bournemouth from 1891-1894. He was apponted Bishop of Melanesia (1894-1911) and then transferred to South Australia. He became Bishop of Bunbury, Western Australia in 1917.
