Huger, Daniel, 1779-1858.

Charleston, South Carolina attorney and South Carolina Secretary of State (1803-1807). Daniel Huger was the son of John Huger (1744-1804) and Charlotte Motte. In 1804 he married Sarah Louisa Lance, daughter of Col. Lambert Lance. Their children were: Julia Amanda Huger (d.1823), Charlotte Motte Huger (d. 1823), Sarah Harvey Huger, who married Dr. George Gibson, Daniel Huger (d. 1817), Elizabeth Huger (d. 1823), and Julia Amanda Huger, who married Robert Dewar Bacot (1821-1903).
