Barbee Architects, Inc.

Barbee’s academic career includes a Visiting Assistant Professorship at Texas A & M University, Lecturer at The University of Texas at Austin and at San Antonio, and Assistant Professor in graduate studies at The University of Texas at San Antonio.

William Barbee has conducted independent studies in the documentation of historic structures including the Pueblitos of Dinetah in New Mexico and the Southern Chacoan Outliers at Chaco Canyon, NM. His studio won the coveted Charles E. Peterson Prize in 1999 from the Historic American Buildings Survey for the documentation of the Maverick-Carter Residence in San Antonio. He received the 1999 Kenneth L. Anderson Prize from the National Park Service.
