Breen Lodge was a women's center established in 1970 and closed during the presidency of Fr. Robert Mulligan in the spring of 1980. The center, which had become a popular institution at Xavier, had sponsored programming on women's issues for a decade. The announcement of its closing resulted in a students' rally to save Breen.
