The Division of Health was created in 1969 (Ch. 69-106, Laws) as part of the Dept. of Health and Rehabilitative Services. It assumed the duties of the State Board of Health. The Division administered programs providing health services to the public; studied state health problems; and made and enforced rules and regulations for the preservation of public health. The Division was abolished in 1975 (Ch. 75-48, Laws) and most of its functions were transferred to the Health Program Office of the Dept. of Health and Rehabilitative Services.
