Whaling vessel, out of San Francisco, Calif., mastered by Albert C. Sherman, on voyage from 30 Mar.-22 Sept. 1897 (crushed in ice and lost), to the Herschel Island, Anadyr Sea, Northwest Coast, and Arctic Ocean whaling grounds; owner-agent: Edwin L. Griffith; built at Bath, Me., 1882.
