Hide Profile

The 41st Regiment United States Infantry was organized in New York in 1813 to defend New York harbor against a British attack during the War of 1812. The regiment consisted of 10 companies lead by Colonel Robert Bogardus (1771-1841). John L. Clark was a first lieutenant and captained one of the 10 companies. Between 1813 and 1815, the regiment was stationed at Fort Lewis and Fort Greene but did not fight in any battles.
