Calmady, Josias, ca. 1652-1714.

Josias Calmady was born in Bridstow, Devon. He matriculated at Trinity College, Oxford in May 1668 and entered the Inner Temple in the following year. He was called to the bar in 1676 and was elected as MP for Okehampton in March and October 1679, but was not returned in the 1681 elections. He married Elizabeth Waldo (d. 1694) and died in 1714.
