Max S. Wehrly is a consultant to the Urban Land Institute. He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and holds a Master's degree from the Harvard School of City Planning. He was a member of the National Capital Regional Planning Council from 1953 to 1961 and its chairman in 1955. He has served as a member of the Northern Virginia Planning and Economic Development Commission, the Arlington County, Virginia, Planning Commission, the Board of Governors of the American Institute of Planners, and the Building Research Advisory Board of the National Academy of Sciences, as well as numerous Federal government committees on housing, community facilities, urban renewal, and the Census. He is a member of the George Washington Chapter of Lambda Alpha and served as its president.
