(For history of the Lutheran Council in the USA (LCUSA), see OCLC #38922091.) LCUSA's Division of Public Relations was established in 1967 at the Council's founding. In 1973, the Division of Public Relations was renamed the Office of Communication and Interpretation. The LCUSA was terminated in 1987 at the founding of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
