Southern Baptist rural minister, in Alabama and Kentucky, since 1941. Born in Dadeville, Alabama; graduate of Howard College (now Samford University), 1937; attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, 1937-1941. Named "Rural Minsiter of the Year" in 1949 by Emory University.
