Brice, Robert Wade, 1836-1910
Planter and Confederate soldier of Fairfield County, S.C.; 3rd lieutenant, Co. H, "Little River Guards," Sixth S.C. Volunteers; later second lieutenant, 2nd S.C. Calvary Regiment; Commissioner of Roads for Fairfield District, 1863-1864; married Martha Matilda Watson, 2 Feb 1863; one of five brothers, Thomas W., W.S., Michael, and John M. Brice, three of whom died in Confederate service.
