George W. Kressbach was born in Monroe, Michigan, around 1921, the son of George J. Kressbach and Harriet B. Nieman. He had at least one sister, Helen. Kressbach served as an ensign with the United States Navy during World War II, and was stationed onboard the USS LCI(R)-770 in the Pacific between May and September 1945. He later lived in Waterford, Michigan. George W. Kressbach died on December 5, 1992.
