Lowe, Arnold Hilmar, 1888-1977

Arnold H. Lowe was the minister of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Minneapolis from 1941-1965 . He was born July 25, 1889 and died February 10, 1977. He was a mmissionary under the Presbyterian board in West Africa, a chaplain in the U.S. Army in World War 1, and a teacher of philosophy and biblical literature. He participated in the work of the World Alliance of Reformed Churches, and was a delegate to the meeting of the World Council of Churches at Amsterdam. He served on the board of trustees of Westminster College, Lindenwood College, Western Theological Seminary, McCormick Theological Seminary, and was president of the Board of Trustees, Macalester College, St. Paul, Minnesota. He was a member of the Board of Christian Education and the General Council of the Presbyterian Church in the U.S.A.
