Brandeis, Fredericka Dembitz
Fredericka Dembitz Brandeis came to the U.S. in 1848 from Prague with her husband, Adolph Brandeis. He entered the grain and produce business in Louisville, Kentucky. Their second son, Louis Dembitz Brandeis, became a justice of the U.S. Supreme Court.
